Fancy becoming an assocaite?

Next Gen Works works with experienced professionals who bring specialist knowledge, energy and insight to the projects we deliver.

Our associates support universities, employers and other organisations through consultancy, facilitation, assessment, programme delivery and specialist project work. We are always interested in hearing from people who share our values and want to work with us on a flexible, independent basis.

What you can expect from us
We believe strong associate relationships should be based on clarity, fairness and mutual respect.

When you work with us, you can expect:

  • clear information about the assignment before you agree to undertake it

  • written terms setting out the work, responsibilities, fees and payment arrangements

  • fair and transparent payment terms

  • no recruitment, registration or set-up fees

  • payment directly into your nominated bank account following receipt of a valid invoice

  • no retention of your original passport, identity documents or personal belongings

  • a professional working relationship built on dignity, inclusion and respect; and

  • the ability to raise concerns directly and without fear of unfair treatment.

What we expect from our associates

We ask all associates working with us to:

  • deliver services professionally and to the agreed standard

  • comply with applicable laws, regulations and client requirements

  • treat others fairly, respectfully and without discrimination

  • maintain appropriate ethical standards in their own work and supply chains

  • support our commitment to preventing exploitation, forced labour, modern slavery and human trafficking

  • avoid practices that could place individuals under coercion, debt or unfair pressure

  • support sustainable working practices, including reducing unnecessary travel, waste and paper use where practical; and

  • raise any concerns about unethical, unlawful or exploitative practices.

These expectations are reflected within our Associate Agreement and form part of the standards required when delivering services on behalf of Penny Works Limited and Next Gen Works.

Independent working
Our associates are engaged as independent, self-employed professionals.
They retain appropriate control over how they organise and deliver their services, subject to the agreed brief, deadlines, client requirements and professional standards. Associates are responsible for their own tax, National Insurance, insurance and other obligations arising from their self-employed status.

Interested in working with us?
We are particularly interested in hearing from professionals with experience in employability, education, assessment, facilitation, student development, learning technology and programme delivery.

Contact us to introduce yourself, tell us about your experience and explain the type of associate work you are interested in.
